Jon,
Day 1 of the derby had temp up high at the 40' range. I last fished Friday morning and temp was at 80'. The short answer to your question is we are fishing where ever temp is. The high winds over the weekend will have the lake turned over again, so when I get out again I will put the temp probe down and look for the thermcline. Call out on your VHF radio and somebody will give you temperature depths.

I was out Friday morning was fishing 130 ft of water with cannon ball down around 75ft I hooked into the biggest king of my life fought him for 15 min had him around 45 ft from boat and he came off. I could have cried I have reeled in my fare shear of kings in the 15-20lb range and this guy was a lot bigger. But I guess that's why they call it fishing not catching.

Jon,
Where were you fishing? I had temp at 58 feet yesterday, but kept one rigger down at 83' over 104 feet of water. At 1:30pm a 15.99 salmon smacked a sthingy just north of Kincardine. It ended up being the fish of the day! Giddy up!
